Adam Brown
Adam came from Huntington Beach, CA over a year ago with his family (wife Carey & children Noah, Micah, Emma, & Aida). He was a youth & associate pastor for 10 years. He has a BA degree in Pastoral Ministries & made it halfway through his MA degree in Leadership Studies before God moved them here.

Places You’ve Lived: Kauai until I was 6, Huntington Beach area the rest of my life until recently in Bend
How I became a Christian: God! I was actually following along what my older sister Tiff was doing by asking Jesus into her heart and getting baptized, and I wanted to do it to so that I could be like her. I had an idea of what I was doing too, but I'm thankful for her influence in my life. There were sooo many others that helped me get to where I'm at today too, so thanks to all of you as well!
How I came to be at Westside: God! We never moved more than 3 miles from Huntington Beach, CA where we lived for most if not all of our lives, so Bend was huge since we had no family/friends nearby. When we started to pray about this huge endeavor of possibly moving, I'm not kidding, within one month, we had around 12 different people, some we knew, some we didn't, some Christians and some non-believers, all mention moving to Bend. Honestly, neither Carey or myself even heard of Bend so we didn't know where it was. My life was wrapped up in Huntington Beach. A passage God continued to encourage us with is from Genesis 12 when He was challenging Abram to take a rather large step of faith and leave his comfort zone (paraphrased): "The Lord said to (Adam and his family), "leave the city you've grown up in, your friends, and your family and go to the land I will show you - Bend...and there will be blessings not just for you, but for this city I'm leading you to...", and ever since we've been here, we've seen and experienced God working in incredible and amazing ways in our own lives and at Westside Church as we together, reach people for Jesus!" We've had plenty of people say they wished they could take the same steps of faith we've taken because they feel they're missing out in life...and guess what, you can! You just have to follow where God is leading or you will not be able to "live life to the full" like John 10:10 says...so just do it or you'll regret it!
