The Ministry

We have planted a church. The only English church in Playa del Carmen.

We are working with the local pastors doing outreach and ministering to their leadership people. We are also working with teams from the U.S. doing construction, ministry, and other outreaches, such as, feeding, clothing and ministering to a whole pueblo in about a three day term. We want to touch the Yucatan Peninsula with the Gospel in one way or another.

We feel that one of our callings here is to bring unity to the Christian churches here. This takes relationships with the local pastors. For the past three years we have been building those relationships. Any time we have teams here, we work with all of them in one way or another.

We will be starting a Bible institute within a year to train up local pastors.

FMI has talked to us about the possibilities of having a world base here in Playa, where missionaries would be trained and sent out.

We believe that the Lord wants us to have a retreat center here where Pastors, spouses and leadership people can get some healing and restoration.

Accomplishments this year

MAs far as our church goes we have seen the entire body grow in unity and in depth with the Lord.

We have grown in numbers some but we believe that this season has been about building a strong foundation.

We have had an opportunity to pray with approx. 60 people to receive the Lord, some of which were at our services and most of which were during out reaches.

We baptized five or six people and had I believe three Holy Spirit baptisms.

We had many miraculous healings and have seen many people get set free from demons, through deliverance.

We worked with two different mission’s teams last year one from Westside and one from a Foursquare church from Windsor California. Both were highly successful, they did many different things from cleaning up a church facility to construction work on a little school in a pueblo, where most of the people only spoke Mayan. They ministered to missionaries and Pastors through the use of the prophetic and word of knowledge and saw some amazing healing take place.

We also gave clothing and food to a pueblo and had about forty people come forward to receive the Lord.

We have built several roofs for those people who lost their roofs in the hurricanes.

We have helped countless people with their health, (heart surgeries, minor surgeries, etc.) through a non-profit called Angelnotion here in Playa del Carmen as well as helping with administration and volunteering at the medical clinic here in Playa del Carmen. www.angelnotion.org

We have had several very successful bible studies for men and women this year.

Kayla has led a bible study for youth here in our home for the last couple of years.

Encouraging people in the Body to walk in their giftings.

We have seen many people come to Christ while here on vacation and take their passion for Christ back to their nation. Belgium, England, Canada, etc.

Goals for next year

• To establish a Bible institute.
  
• To start discipleship training with the M.T.I. course.
  
• To help with the translation of the M.T.I. material into Spanish.
  
• To get all of the equipment and materials in place to do effective outreach when teams come down. (Bud Smith is driving down here with a fifteen Passenger van and a trailer full of material and equipment for outreach)
  
• Help to organize the local churches to do a city wide outreach in March of next year.
  
• Work together with a missionary in Cancun to plant a church in Ek-Balaam which is a local village.
  
• To be a resource church for the churches in the Yucatan.
  
• Help start a church in Cozumel.
  
• To continue the plans for a retreat center for pastors and leadership.
  
• To continue a youth group
  
• To continue a strong and healthy bible study for men and women.
  
• To continue healthy relationships with churches and mission teams in the USA.
  
• To continue to learn Spanish
