katrina team

We are at the two year mark since Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast.  Many of the residents there are a little reluctant to share their stories, not because they don't want the world to know, but because it is so hard for them to relive the pain.  Yet, in spite of the suffering and the obvious destruction that still lingers in the neighborhoods of Biloxi, there is a glow that can't be seen with the naked eye.  It is a light from within.  There are stories of hope and renewal that are just a sampling of the thousands that give testimony to the light of Christ's love shining throughout the Gulf Coast.  Westside Church has the great privilege of being one of the numerous teams helping to restore life back into this community.

Be a part of the blessing, join the next team departing for Biloxi. 

As of September 2007, we have sent six teams to the hurricane devastated area and have a seventh in the planning stage for November 2007.  Anyone 16 or older can be a part of one of our upcoming teams.  Licensed journeymen, contractors and craftsmen fly free, as your skills are most needed.  For information, contact Scott McIntosh at 382-7504 ext. 211 or smcintosh@westsidechurch.org.
