Set Design
Every time we congregate our Pastor and the Worship Team are framed by the “set”. This background enhances a message and creates a mood vital to the congregation’s reception of the Word of God. Coffee Fellowship
Slice and dice the sweets and treats! Coffee Fellowship provides the goodies for our congregation so that we can sit, snack and fellowship with one another after services. If you’d like to be a part of a team that has a great time of prayer and fellowship as they prepare to serve others be sure to enquire about what you can do to “serve up a smile” (and maybe a cheese cube) with the Coffee Fellowship Team.
First Impressions
From the Traffic Team to the Usher Team to those smiling faces who greet you at the door, the Greeter Team. Our first impression has huge impact and may be the one reason a visitor returns or not. Smile and Direct with one of these teams at your earliest convenience!
Gleaning Team
Work with this team to rescue past dated groceries from area markets! Assist with food pick up and delivery. Early weekday mornings.
AAB Food Packers Team
This Team packs the food into boxes and then packs the boxes into the truck that goes out to the blocks. Every 1st and 3rd Friday morning of the month in the Westside Church Family Room the Adopt-a-Block Food Packers Team comes together to ready the truck for delivery. If you’d like to join them they’d love to have you!
AAB Food Transport Team (Motel Ministry)
Deliver food and God’s love to hungry people in temporary housing. This ministry goes from motel to motel the 1st and 3rd Friday mornings of each month. This is “hand’s on” outreach handed to others in love. Find out more at the Connection Center before or after service.
AAB Visitation Team
Every Saturday morning at 8:00 this Team gathers at the Dream Center to pray and equip themselves to minister to families on the blocks. To be a part of this Team all you need to do is show up and follow directions. You’ll be amazed at what God will have in mind for you to do as you serve these folks. Your open-handed servant heart and big smile will be huge assets to this Team.
Dream Kids Teaching Teams
Lead Teach or Assist Teach Dream Kids on Saturday afternoons in a special service time here at
Westside Church. It’s a time of joy and energy and blessing, no doubt about it. Your curriculum is provided. You teach it, (or assist the Teacher) add your own personal style and watch the way the kids respond!
Weekly Work Force
This Team has members that enjoy the flexibility of coming to Westside at various times during the week (Monday through Thursday) to serve administratively. Small projects to large projects, sort, copy, stuff or staple; to document creation in Word, Publisher, PowerPoint or Excel, and graphic creation in Adobe, servefor an hour or serve for two, it’s up to you!
Administrative Support Team
From CLD (Child Life Development) to the SPORT (Senior Pastor Office Resource Team) Team, and for every individual ministry here at Westside, administrative support is a key position. Document creation, data input, data tracking, organizing systems and files, and communication are the basics for this servant position. That may sound boring to most people but to some, like myself, these are tasks to get excited about! Flexible and surprisingly fun this opportunity is for those who’s heart to serve God, and others, is in the details.
180 Adult/Parent Team
Come serve alongside the 180 Staff as an Adult/Parent Team Member. Assist during services and lead youth in finding and growing their relationship with Jesus Christ. Senior High or JV, whichever your heart leads you to, you will be amazed as these teens teach you more than you could ever expect about a zealous and passionate walk with God.
Classroom Lead Teacher or Assistant Teacher
Our kids need to learn about Jesus! Do you love children and feel passionate about teaching them about our Lord and Savior? You can impact a child’s life. You can plant a seed and watch it grow! Lead Teach or Assist the teacher in the classroom during service times.
