Are You Ready for the Adventure of a Lifetime?
Journey of Discovery is coming May 18. The Journey is a six-week adventure of growing and discovering the fullness of your walk with God, life in His Church and how you fit in this expedition of a lifetime. Every participant will receive excellent resources and great teaching, while meeting lots of new people. The class meets in the Adult Education Room on Sunday morning, May 18, from 9:00-12:00 (there will be a 45-minute break in the middle of the class) and will conclude on June 22 with a graduation lunch with Pastor Ken where you will have an opportunity to become a member of Westside Church. Journey of Discovery is a six-week series of classes designed for you to grow and discover big truth about your walk with God, the life of the Church and to find out exactly how you fit into the whole picture. Every participant will receive excellent resources and great teaching, while meeting lots of new people. Inside these six weeks, you will learn that to become a fully-devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, it’s about being, not just doing. The Journey is comprised of three parts:
Become
Just as there are habits that contribute to enjoying a healthy body, so there are habits that yield spiritual benefits. This first part of the Journey will explore important life-giving principles and habits that will give you strength to walk out a thriving relationship with God.
Belong
God had you in mind before the world was formed. He loves you and has gifted you with natural and spiritual abilities. In this second part of the Journey, explore how God has gifted you so that you can discover and grow in your personal God-given assignment.
Breakout
Last words are important. Jesus’ last words on the earth were “go” and “tell”. We have been entrusted with spreading the Good News, but how do we get started? In this final part of the Journey, you will learn how to tell your story and discover that sharing your faith can be natural, rewarding and even fun!
