Growing Better Heart1st is your opportunity to take the next steps in fulfilling God’s vision for our church and expanding our influence in our community. We will spend the end of September through early November praying, discussing, and focusing on this next step in the life of our church. It is important that you are Growing – Heart1st during this time. You can do this by:

• Hearing each part of the Growing Better Heart1st Sermon Series (available for free at the Connection Center or on the web if you miss a message)
• Viewing the Growing Better Heart1st DVD
• Joining a home group to experience the rich, relational Growing Better curriculum
• Utilizing the prayer guide and praying together. Our church family united in prayer according to God’s purpose is a wonderful and powerful force for good.
• Participating in the week of prayer and fasting
• Enjoying the Family Conference DVD

 
We encourage every family and single adult in our church to be involved in ongoing discussion and prayer about your own commitment. The intent of this time is for you to think about your family’s involvement in the future of your church, hear what God has to say to you and come to an agreement on what you want to contribute in response. We suggest considering an amount, in addition to your tithe, given over a three-year period. Commitment Cards will be distributed in November to allow you to indicate what your family has decided to invest.

Although we are raising money, the real fruit of our Growing Better adventure will be:

• Spiritual Maturity – Personal and spiritual growth in us all
• Stewardship – A deeper understanding of stewardship
• Unity – A passionate connection for us all to God’s vision and mission for Westside Church
