the heart of the plan

Our first step in achieving God’s mission for Westside is to enlarge and improve our facilities so we can attract and serve more people of all ages. It’s a big step, but it’s just one step, with much more to come as God reveals and unfolds His plan for us over the next decade. Our current expectation is that the facility expansion will occur in three phases:

phase 1: day care/preschool center - march 2008

If we are to effectively reach and teach our youngest generation, we must to be able to serve them and their parents. Therefore, we plan to build a beautiful 8,500 sq ft building to be used primarily as a childcare facility on two acres we own adjacent to the current campus. This building will also provide additional adult classroom spaces and its parking lot will add 80 new spaces for use during weekend services. We believe the daycare/preschool will be financially self-supporting once established.

phase 2: worship center - january 2009

In this phase we’ll build a large, open space to gather and connect between services, even during the week. A new Auditorium with expanded capacity for use of the arts and visual media will offer stadium seating for 1,000 people, a balcony, an expanded Connection Center and Prayer rooms. Relocation of the nursery will provide easy access to parents with young children. Expansion of the Bookstore will create a place where guests will feel welcome.

phase 3: children's center - march 2011

In this phase we’ll build a kid-friendly space that will relocate the existing X-Klaim room. It will be a multi-functional space that can be utilized as a chapel for weddings and funerals, while providing additional needed adult classroom space.  Modifications to our existing children's area will include the additional of an exciting indoor play structure.  Year-round opportunity will be provided for children to play in a safe, fun and inviting environment while they experience the love of Jesus in an unforgettable way.
