God is going to give us better hearts and make us bigger people before He gives us a bigger building. We need to grow better at reaching seekers, at building believers, at taking care of the believers we have. Our staff needs to improve. We need better programs, better leadership, and better teams.
I believe God’s way to do that is to start with our heart. It starts with our hearts. There is on easy, three-step shortcut to ‘Growing Better – Heart First.’ No program or system will make this happen. It is a heart issue. And as the Lead Pastor of Westside Church, it starts with my heart.
I’m not perfect. There are things in my own heart that God is pointing out, rooting out and clearing out. I’m letting God change and improve my heart.
And I challenge you to follow my lead. If you do, God will grow a purer, bigger, better heart in you. If we Grow Better, Heart First, it WILL start a chain reaction of life change that will kill giants, save lives, plunder hell and populate heaven.
