Impossible to Escape

Impossible to Escape

Poor, sad Jonah. Nothing seems to go his way. Even with the big fish, and living inside it for three days, he cannot seem to escape from his own selfish way of looking at things.

Why do we think we can hide from God; escape from the things he is telling us? After all, he is God and we are not. When I think about Jonah, I always first of all think about how foolish he was, and then I have to think about myself and wonder how many times am I just as foolish. We cannot run away or escape from God.

My Father God, it is good to know that you are God, and that I am not. Stay with me, stay after me to do all that you purpose for me to do. Thank you. AMEN

Impossible to Escape
Jonah 1:3

3 But Jonah got up to run away from the Lord by going to Tarshish. He went to the city of Joppa, where he found a ship that was going to the city of Tarshish. Jonah paid for the trip and went aboard, planning to go to Tarshish to run away from the Lord. (Jonah 1:3 NCV)
