Dear friends,
As many of you know, for the past few years, we have been training up young people for life and ministry through our internship program. This coming fall we are launching a new, one-year program, to educate, equip, exercise and empower the next generation of church leaders. We are committed to raising them up and sending them back to their local church, more equipped and empowered to serve alongside you.
Recently we had an intern from the Redmond Christian Church here in Central Oregon, Ben Floski. Ben attended our interrnship program and went back to serve in his local church. Here is part of his story:
I'm appreciative of Westside for this opportunity to stay plugged in to people I love at my home church, while also having a foot in the door of the discipleship program at Westside. Being brought up in the Christian Church, taking the time to attend a Foursquare program was a challenging one, but taught me flexibility and gave me a chance to learn how to compare doctrinal differences and points of views consistent with various denominations. Overall, the experience was excellent.
My heart is for Westside to be a greater resource to you and your church. If you have any emerging leaders that may be interested in this program, I have included our brochure which contains the information you need. Again, let me reiterate how much I value the sending back of your leaders. Our Internship program is a kingdom-oriented program that will raise up leaders to have the capacity and the experience to lead significant ministries in your churches. My hope is that this ministry will be a blessing to your churches.
