Not a Whole Heart

Not a Whole Heart

Jehu did well as far as he went. He did what the Lord had said to do, but he did not stop doing some of the same sins as Jeroboam had done. He did not follow the Lord’s teachings with a whole heart.

How is that we sometimes do some of what we know is the right thing to do, but fail to follow through on everything? A whole heart that wants to learn and obey God’s teachings is what He wants from us.

Lord, help me to more and more walk with You with a whole heart, and not just with the parts that are easy. Your ways are always the best ways. Thank You for being so patient and loving with me. AMEN

Praise the Lord, God our Savior, who helps us every day. You are the God who gives Your people strength and power. Psalm 68

Not A Whole Heart

2 Kings 10:30-31

30 The Lord said to Jehu, “You have done well in obeying what I said was right. You have done to the family of Ahab as I wanted. Because of this, your descendants as far as your great-great-grandchildren will be kings of Israel.” 31 But Jehu was not careful to follow the teachings of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not stop doing the same sins Jeroboam had done, by which he had led Israel to sin. (2 Kings 10:30-31 NC
