Jeremiah faced so much opposition, and thinking about his life and the possibility of losing it was a real, daily proposition.
If I am truly a child of God (I know that I am), then my life is not my own. It belongs to God and I am only the steward of it for the time I live on this earth. What I do with it matters…it matters to God and the influence of my life can and should matter to others; it should make a difference.
Lord, I want to live my life for You and not just for myself. I daily give my life to You to be used to be a blessing. Thank You for the life that You have given me. I love You and You are my daily strength and help. AMEN
I will praise You, Lord, my Rock. You are the One who protects me and loves me. You are my shield, my Savior, and defender. Psalm 144
Our Lives Are Not Our Own
23 Lord, I know that our lives don’t really belong to us. We can’t control our own lives. 24 Lord, correct me, but be fair. Don’t punish me in your anger, or you will destroy me. (Jeremiah 10:23-24 NCV)
