Plans can be easy to make without much thought. They can be made with only our personal desires in mind, they can be made with the thought of what is the easiest way to do something, or they can be made with what would be best for others and the general good. I personally like to make plans and think ahead. But the key question is: what does the Lord want, and what will serve Him best?

Father, I don’t just want to make plans without thinking about others and, most of all, what You would want. You have always been so faithful to us when we have been careful to ask for Your guidance! I want that always to be what we do. Thank You that You care so much! AMEN

I will praise You Lord, because You advise me. Even at night, I can feel Your leading. I will keep You before me, and rejoice and be glad. Psalm 16

Jean Stephens
