Come

 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. (Revelation 22:17 NLT)

Observation and  Application:

Such amazing events described in John’s Revelation!  Wars, beasts, dragons, plagues, judgments, demonstrations of power on a truly cosmic level.  Nations rising and falling, truth and lies, destruction on a planet-shaking level.  It’s like all the battle scenes from all the Star Wars movies put together!

Then God rolls out the new heavens and the new earth and brings down the Holy City and makes peace and harmony and health and safety available and accessible to all whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

The Spirit of God says, “Come and drink freely from the water of life.”  The Bride of Christ says, “Come and drink freely from the water of life.”  Everyone who hears and believes becomes a messenger saying, “Come and drink freely from the water of life.”

I need to remember that the message is “Come and drink freely from the water of life.”  No matter what’s happening in earth and heaven, no matter what colossal events are occurring, the way is open for the thirsty to come and drink freely and live.

Prayer:

Father, keep me from getting so caught up in the meaning of world events and speculation about what’s next and how it affects me.  Keep me from forgetting that no matter what’s going on, the message is, “If you are thirsty, come and drink freely of the water of life.”  Amen.
