Here was David, the leader in trouble; and from within the ranks even. When things went good, David was a great leader. But when things went wrong, it seems the people would think that it was all his fault. David found his help and strength in the right place; in his God. David did not try to defend himself, nor did he get angry at his men.
Here is a vital principle of truth that I need to remember; find my strength in my God during difficult times that I may have. I know from experience that God is always ready to be my help and strength.
Forgive me, Lord when I forget that You are the One I need to turn to when I need to be reassured and strengthened. Thank You that You are always there for me; always ready. I love You. AMEN
Lord, I know You do what is right and fair. You show mercy, and are kind. You have great love for me. Thank You! Psalm 103
Strength In The Lord
1 Samuel 30:6
6 The men in the army were threatening to kill David with stones, which greatly upset David. Each man was sad and angry because his sons and daughters had been captured, but David found strength in the Lord his God. (1 Samuel 30:6 NCT)
